As a reptile keeper I am also interested in keeping snakes as exotic pets.
There are so many species of snakes. Frankly I am fascinated with all of them but I wouldn’t want to keep giant snakes or highly venomous snakes as I know my own limits and expertise, so I only keep snakes that are non poisonous or have low toxic venom.
To me snakes are the most easy exotic pets to keep in terms of maintainance and feeding. Lucky I found snakes that fall into my category for ease of keeping. They are the Kenyan Sand Boa, Western Hognose and Ball Python.

Notes: Before handling any kind of snake please have proper detailed knowledge about them.
Handling highy venomous snakes or not having proper knowldege of your snakes means you are gambling with your life or that of others around you.
Even for a professional handler with years of experience, one wrong move can be fatal.
The Kenya Sand Boa (Gongylophis Colubrinus) is endemic to Northern and Eastern Africa.

It got the name because of its “hog-like” look. They are considered as small snakes which rarely exceed a length of 50cm.
